Play, Explore & Discover
The Zigbo Wooden Penguin Tumbler combines a charming animal character with a hands-on stacking and assembly activity. Its separate components fit onto a central wooden rod, allowing children to explore how individual parts come together to form a complete penguin.
Stack, Assemble and Discover
Start with the base and wooden rod, then add the penguin’s feet, lower body and upper body. Position the wings and finish with the penguin head. The assembly process gives children opportunities to practise aligning openings, placing pieces and following a sequence.
Take the pieces apart and build the penguin again to repeat the activity. Parents can demonstrate one step at a time and encourage children to observe which component comes next.
Hands-on Learning Through Play
Handling and positioning the pieces encourages controlled movements and hand–eye coordination. During shared play, parents can introduce words such as “head”, “body”, “wings” and “feet”, connecting the activity with simple conversations about the penguin.
Ask questions such as “Which part goes on top?” or “Where are the penguin’s wings?” to make assembly more interactive. The finished character can also become part of an imaginative story.
A Cheerful Desk Companion
With its black-and-white face, natural wood tones and yellow details, the assembled penguin also makes a playful display for a desk or shelf. It brings together an assembly activity and a character that can stay on display between play sessions.
